The Glowing Lines Story
Transformed a failing art project into a commercial product. Pilot installed on N329 near Oss.
View Case Study →From glowing lines to lightweight solar panels. I prototype, validate, and scale innovations that bridge hardware, software, and business.
I love the moment when a duct-taped prototype actually works. Then my brain kicks in: how does this survive the real world?
15+ years bridging the gap between wild ideas and reality. I've helped build glowing roads, lightweight solar panels, and education platforms used by 172.000 people daily.
I ask questions others don't. I translate between engineers, designers, and management so everyone actually understands what they are building. And I'm not afraid to pick up a soldering iron or be out there in the rain myself.
I work best with teams who trust their people and want to build things that matter.
Working prototypes and validated concepts ready for the next step.
Through hands-on building and testing.
Clear answers on what works, what doesn't, and what to build next.
Through user research, technical testing and analysis.
Products delivered on time with roadmaps everyone understands.
Creating a team that knows it's strengths and weakenesses and how to leverage them to get results.

Let's ConnectEach project represents my way of working. Innovative infrastructure, digital platforms, renewable energy: all built through systematic prototyping and validation.

Wearable LED vests for instant team switching during training. Runner-up Dutch Sport Innovation Awards 2013. From concept to small batch manufacturing.
View Case Study →AI doesn't change what I build or why. It changes how fast I get there and how much of the execution I can handle myself. I still own every architectural decision, every design choice, every validation.
SPEED
Prototypes that used to take weeks now take days. More iterations per sprint, earlier answers on whether an idea actually works.
SKILLS
ML pipelines, front-end builds, security hardening, test suites: disciplines I would have outsourced before. Now I execute them myself, with AI as a skilled execution partner.
STRUCTURE
Spec-first, documented decisions, CI hooks, test coverage. Every step reviewable, reversable and controllable. I think that is the difference between directed AI development and vibe coding.
My 2011 startup Storioes released the app Color Hunt on iOS. Back then we had a team of four, including two wonderful developers, to build the app. Now, I am revisiting it and bringing it back to life using Claude Code as my developer.

A concept from my 2012 Adidas Design Academy application, finally turned into a working proof of concept. Train a model to recognize your shoes, overlay animations on them in real time. All in the browser, no app required.
